Embark on a klotok adventure through the emerald waters of Sekonyer River in the heart of Tanjung Puting. Explore local villages and insight into their rich culture. Engage in community based tourism with minimal disturbance to wild life.
Meet Borneo orangutans as you cruise through a jungle river in the untamed Tanjung Putin National park, where adventure meets wilderness and romance. Join us in our mission to support local businesses and protect the rainforest.
Group Size 4 – 6 Pax
Upon arrival in Pangkalan Bun airport, you will be picked up by our local staff and take you to kumai port by car for 20 minutes, then directly to National Park Tanjung Puting area by Boat for 2 hours. The boat is traditional wooden river boat for tourist specialist. It’s 12m by 2,5m with a roof and called by Klotok, which forms the upper deck, you can view the natural rainforest. We will slowly explore the quite river by Klotok to observe wild animals along the river sides. Cabin with simple mattress, pillow, meals, bottled mineral water, mosquito net, kitchen and toilet are available on Boat. Stay over night at the Boat.
After breakfast, we will travel up the river for morning river safari for 2 hours boating to Camp Leaky where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rainforest. Mind refreshing and learn more about river ecology, visit orang-utan education centre and see feeding time in Camp Leaky at 14:00 afterward back to observe prosboscis monkeys on the tress along river sides. Take dinner and over night at Boat
After breakfast, we will travel up the river to enjoy morning breeze and view natural rainforest then join in morning orang-utan feeding centre in Pondok tanggui at 09:00, trekking on loop trail. On The way back we will stop in Pesalat reforest station to learn and support the peoples do reforest activities then visit Traditional Village of Tanjung Harapan and join in other feeding time in Tanjung Harapan Center at 15:00. If weather conditions permit, you can take evening tour to see fireflies. Back to take dinner and stay over night at Boat.
After Breakfast at the Boat, morning free until transfer to the airport for your next destination.
